    ———-
I made this scrapbook page as a special project for PayPerPost, which I do on one of my other blogs. They were asking “Posties”, as those of us who get paid to blog for them are called, to send in framed photos of themselves, to be displayed on a big, previously empty wall in their brand spankin’ new office. In exchange, they would send us a box of free PPP swag. This layout depicts me and some of my favorite things. It’s easy enough for anyone to just find a pic, slap it into a frame, and send it. But I decided to wow ‘em with this page, which I framed in a frame designed for 33 RPM record album covers (anyone remember records? :D ) Read the rest of this entry »

This is the fifth of the five African-themed cards I submitted to “Scrap & Stamp Arts” for their “Everything African” feature. They didn’t use it in that article, but the decided to use it in one of their other publications, “Just Cards“. This appeared in Volume 3, released in August 2006.

I attached some wide, sheer ribbon to a black card, and stamped the Posh African flower and vase with Brillaince ink. Stamped the flowers and vase again on an off-white scrap, layered onto rust cardstock, attached to card. Made *photo corners* from rust cardstock scraps to finish.

All stamps used here are from the Posh Impressions Aftrican set. This card was published in the August 2006 issue of “Scrap & Stamp Arts” magazine. This is one of five cards I submitted for the “Everything African” feature in the May issue. They used three for that, which can be seen in the posts below this one. They held this one to use in a future issue.

I made a rust-colored card and stamped it repeatedly with the wheat stamp with black pigment ink, and heat-embossed with black powder. I then cut an off-white panel, and stamped the same wheat stamp on it, this time with rust ink. Matted this onto black, and attached to card.

I stamped and embossed the frame and the vase onto rust cardstock with black ink/powder, and cut out. Then I mounted them to the card.
