This past Saturday, I went. it’s been a long time since I’ve gotten to go to one of these conventions, so I was very excited to be able to go.
Yes. Money was spent! I didn’t go completely crazy, but I did get some cool stuph.
I found a new source of Close To My Heart products. I have been through two consultants already…both of them quit selling it. Not because of me, though…LOL! It was for personal reasons on their parts.
The lady at the show is actually located in New Jersey, but she said that I could order from her website, and have stuph shipped to me here in Massachusetts. Now, I like that idea A LOT…honestly, I don’t WANT a local consultant. I don’t want to be pushed to host a party, or even become a consultant myself. I just want someone who will be happy to just sell me the stuph.
So I got one of her catalogs (it was free with my purchase), and now I have her website address, so I can order whenever I want something.
My Stampin’ Up! consultant is in New Jersey, as well, and I’ve been happy with her. New Jersey is an okay place…hell, I even lived there for a while!
I also picked up a few other cool items…including one of the new Tim Holtz storage cases from Cropper Hopper. I got the alcohol ink case…I have tons of those little bottles, and they are scattered all over the place. The case has neat little compartments, as well as a space to keep the blending solution, the ink applying whosit, and the felt that goes with it.
Another item I purchased was the Notch & Die-Cutting Tool from Basic Grey. This has been around for a while, and something I’ve had my eye on, but I never got one until now. It’s very cool!
What else? Oh…a BossKut alphabet die set…the Flora Dora font. It’s kind of a cool, funky, retro sort of font…right up my alley! It was also marked down to $50.00, which was a HUGE plus here!
I don’t have the BossKut machine, but these dies are supposed to work in most other machines. I have the Sizzix BigKick, which is designed to work with just about anything as long as you have the multi-purpose platform. I’ve used not only Sizzix and Ellison Designs dies, but also Cuttlebug and QuicKutz.
I also snagged a few books and magazines, and of course, more CAT stamps!
This show is worth a visit…to find out if they are coming to a town near you, check out RubberStampAndScrapbookExpo.com.
