Coming soon to c-m dot net…

First up, there will be a contest here, very soon!  After I posted about the big sale at sizzix.com, I went shopping there, and purchased a few items that I am going to bundle together as a prize package.

The main part of the prize package will be the Tag-A-Long Starter Kit, from Sizzix/Ellison Design.  This will include all that you see here in this picture…the machine, a pair of cutting pads, a Thin Cuts die, an Easy Emboss folder, and a paper pack.  I do not know what Thin Cuts die it is, you’ll just have to be surprised.

In addition to this, I am adding a 4-pack of Sizzlits dies…the small tag set.   I love this set, as it is so versatile.  One thig you can do with it is to cut out the tags, and then either stamp or attach a die-cut letter on each…to make a title for a layout.  But there are trazillions of other ways to use it, as well.

I’m also throwing in one of my favorite dies, this Cat Face Thin Cuts die from Ellison Designs.   The winner of this contest will also receive a couple of Sizzix Adaptors, so if you have wafer-thin dies, such as those from QuicKutz or BossKut, you can use them in the Tag-A-Long machine.

Finally, the winner will also get one wood-mounted rubber stamp (I’ll surprise you!), and a hand-made card from me.

I am still working out the rules and all for this contest, but this is what the prize will be.  Complete rules and details will be posted once I have it all worked out, and then the contest will officially begin.

Other stuph coming soon…a c-m dot net message board, focused mostly on cooking and crafts.  And, once I get it all figured out, there will soon be a video podcast, which will be mostly about crafting projects and stuph like that.

So…there will be a lot happening here in the next few weeks, so stay tuned…

Bargains at sizzix.com continue…

Still 70% off on stuff at The Savings Zone.  But this time, you don’t need to enter a coupon code, the prices are already reduced.

There are TONS of items for a buck…check out The Buck Stop.  If you like the Paddle Punches, you’ll be happy, because they have a TON of them there for 99 cents.  They also have Simple Impressions embossing folders, as well as Ellison Design Easy Emboss folders.

If you’ve been wanting the SideKick/Tag-A-Long machines (both the same thing, really), you can snag a Tag-A-Long machine for only $15.00.  You can also get the Tag-A-Long Travel Tote, also for just $15.00.  I think I will get one for my SideKick.

As you can see on the site, the SideKick Starter kit costs $49.99.  No, I didn’t pay that much for mine…I got mine at A.C. Moore, I think, either on sale or with a coupon.  I forget, but it was still pretty cheap.  Not as cheap as $15.00, though.  The Tag-A-Long is the exact same thing, but you can get it for MUCH cheaper, while supplies last.

Last summer, Mike and I went up to Moosehead Lake, in Maine, and I decided to spend time crafting while I was there.  I set up shop on the porch of the inn where we were staying, and made postcards to send to friends.  I brought my SideKick machine and my zip-around binder of Quickutz dies.  Yeah, I only had one back then, now I have two.  I also had gotten myself some Sizzix adaptors, so that I could use then in the SideKick…much easier and less time-consuming than the QK hand tool.  Sizzix.com almost NEVER has these in stock, and I got mine on eBay.  Someone there usually has them, so you should have no trouble find them if you need them.

You can also use other brands of dies in the SideKick/Tag-A-Long, such as Cuttlebug and BossKut, as long as they are small enough to fit in the machine.  Some of these dies are bigger and won’t fit.  Those, I have to run through my BigKick machine.

In any case…go and take a look at the bargains you can find at Sizzix.com.   I’m going through my collection of Paddle Punches, and getting the ones I don’t already have, that I like.  Ditto with the Simple Impressions folders.  Lotsa good stuph to be had here!
