…from the Food Network Store.  They came yesterday…how long ago did I order them?  Earlier this week?  These guys ship FAST!  But then again, they ship from Williston, Vermont, which in the grand scheme of things is close to here.

Anyway,  one of the DVD sets I got was DIY Scrapbooking with Sandi Genovese.  The box indicated that this set was Volume 1, so I’m hoping that there will be more of these shows released on DVD in the future.  Apparently, on a lot of cable systems, the DIY Network is not a part of the standard channel lineup…it seems to be part of a tier of service that you have to pay more for.  I don’t remember ever seeing it on the channel lineup at the hotel we recently stayed at in Portland, and I just found out why.  Up there, it’s channel 127 or something like that…and I know that the channels at the hotel did not go up that high.  So that’s why I never got to see this show.

I don’t know what the deal with DIY is around here, I didn’t bother to check because we don’t have cable or satellite TV.

But this is a good show…if you have cable or satellite and can get DIY, check this out.  DIY is run by the same company that runs the Food Network, and offers the same resources for viewers…every project shown is also on the website, for you to print out.  They often include patterns and templates, if the project uses them.

You probably knew that Sandi Genovese used to be a designer for Sizzix, back when it was still owned by Provo Craft.  She even wrote a couple of books containing projects you can make with Sizzix.  And since then, she’s written or co-written other books about scrapbooking.  I know I have a few of her books…the Sizzix ones and one or two others.

I watched a few of the episodes on the DVD set yesterday…the projects are very interesting and clearly explained.  Sandi is often joined by guests who are experts in the scrapbooking industry.

Yes, I’m really hoping that they put out more of these shows on DVD!
