I ordered the 30-day supply kit for $19.95, the one that’s been advertised on regular 60-second commercials. I’ve suffered with acne all of my life, and I’m hoping that this stuff will work for me.
I’ve been using Proactiv now for three days, and I’m not sure yet. After the first day, my affected areas got very red and dry. I had also applied the Refining Mask, which came free with my order. In addition to the redness, I saw that white gook surfacing on my zittage…I guess that is good, because it’s pulling all of the nasty crap out of my skin.
Still, the instructions say that if my skin gets too red and dry, I should cut back usage until my skin gets used to the product. Also, I should use some sort of moisturizer afterwards. Proactiv, of course, has their own complete line of products, but I don’t have any right now. But I do have a bunch of Mary Kay stuff, left over from when I used to sell it. I had sent most of it back for a refund, but I kept some for potential personal use. Only I haven’t used any in a while.
Something I did like back in the day was the Intense Moisturizing Cream. I have a few jars of that sitting around, so I will try that as my moisturizer. I also have a ton of MK TimeWise moisturizers, but I stopped using those because they were making me…well…break out. But the Intense stuff was good, I don’t know why I quit using it.
In fact, I have a whole box full of *Miracle Sets*, which I kept because I thought I would use them. But they performed no miracles for me in the long run, so now I need to find a way to get rid of them. Each set includes Day Solution, Night Solution, TimeWise 3-in-1 Cleanser (which is actually not a bad product) and TimeWise moisturizer.
I wish I’d sent them back when I had the chance…I would rather have the money back now, than the product. But it’s too late now…I already sent back most of my inventory, and I can’t send more back now.
Maybe I’ll just find a local women’s shelter and donate it all there. Just as long as I can just go there and drop it off…I suck at mailing stuff out to people.
