…not because I have any ethical reasons for not doing so, mostly because I can’t understand what to do, even if you put a gun to my head. Or I’m just not physically able to do it for some reason.

  1. Chemist – In England, this means pharmacist, but not in the U.S. No matter, I can’t get a grasp on chemistry anyway. I never could understand the periodic table or elements. The only chemistry I do get is food science, thanks to Alton Brown and Good Eats.
  2. Integrated Circuit Design Engineer – This is what Mike does for a living. Sometimes he works from home, like when there’s a snowstorm, and I sometimes peek over his shoulder to see what he’s doing. All sorts of funny diagrams and stuff…I don’t get it. But he is obviously good at it, because last week he was promoted to the position of Senior Intergrated Circuit Design Engineer.
  3. Stockbroker – The stock market is yet another thing I can’t wrap my brain around. And it’s another thing Mike is good at…he takes care of all of our investment needs. I did not know what, say, a futures broker is, until I looked it up.
  4. School Bus Driver – No way could I drive with a bunch of screaming brats behind me!  Also, it can be dangerous.  When I was in high school, these two teen thugs snuck some snowballs onto our school bus.  While the bus was moving, one of then threw a snowball and hit the driver smack in the back of the head.  He almost lost control of the bus and threw it into a ditch, but luckily, he didn’t.  The driver quit as soon as we got to school, and we had a different driver for the rest of the year.  Too bad, he was cool and most of us liked him.  The thugs with the snowballs got expelled, thank goodness.  Wonder what jail they are in now?
  5. Baseball Mascot- I love the mascots, but wouldn’t want to be one.  Those costumes look heavy, and it must be hell in high summer.  Also, I might lose patience having to be groped by a million little kids, pose for photos with them, and all.  Nope, not a job for me!
