For many people, it is. But there are so many online universities these days, it can be difficult to decide which one is right for you!
Western Governors University is a great option. They offer degree programs in teaching, health care, business, and information technology. They are a fully accredited school. The programs are designed for working adults who wish to advance in their careers. As I’ve said before, it can often take up a lot of precious time to commute to a regular college. Being able to study in the comfort and convenience of your own home is one of the main reasons people consider an online degree.
Financial aid is available for those who qualify. Most financial aid comes in the form of student loans, which need to be paid back after graduation. As well I know…Mike went to an expensive, traditional university, and we are still repaying his loans to the tune of $1200 per month. They will finally be paid off in about a year or so, but it seems like we’ve been paying on them forever.
But if it were possible to go to a less expensive school, and borrow less money, wouldn’t that be great? One of the things I like about Western Governors University is that they are a non-profit school, and, as such, the tuition is surprisingly affordable. They are much more affordable than other online universities I’ve checked out.
